Shivani Laddha

Shivani Laddha is a strong advocate of women’s basketball. She grew up playing basketball at the national level and led several teams (Madhya Pradesh State, University of Delhi, and Shri Ram College of Commerce Women’s Basketball) during her time.

After a few years of professional exploration with American Express, she realised that her heart was in sports. There was no stopping after that. Shivani went to work with the Indian Super League (ISL), India’s top-tier men’s professional football league, for 3.5 years, where she was involved in an amazing breadth of responsibilities, from doing pre-match checks of the competition area to managing key stakeholder relationships with the national federation (AIFF), confederation (AFC), and clubs. Her time at the ISL exposed her to the realms of the Indian sports industry and ignited her passion for women’s sports. Motivated to improve the state of women’s sports in India, Shivani enrolled for MBA at the University of Liverpool and is set to graduate in 2022. She hopes to see Indian women’s basketball championing on the world stage.
